About this Houston Flooding AGAIN!
Thanks for the concern of friends and readers. Parts of the area is reported to have received 42 inches of rain in a short time – not in our immediate area but serious for many. Karen and I left the house this morning for a followup appointment with Karen’s Ophthamologist. The water was so high on some streets that she canceled the appointment and we made it to Chick-fil-A for breakfast. Raining extremely hard brought back memories of Harvey two years ago.
We watched as a reported $6 Billion Flood Control Project was finished only a few days ago near our house. Today we witnessed it working as the potentially flash flooding runoff was quickly dumped into the nearby Cypress Creek. The flooding was moved further downstream.
