First infections in Africa and US
Glycoscience NEWS Lesson #23 for 2020

03/01/2020 — The coronavirus death toll is officially more than 3,000 with infections nearing 89,000 people with 76 confirmed cases in the US. People have tested positive in 66 countries.
An evil factor has just entered the picture. This may be why some people become contaminated with no known contact with an infected person. I have seen security videos of very sick people intentionally contaminating elevator buttons in public buildings. Innocent people push the button and may become affected. Do not fear but it is time to take more precautions. Taxi drivers have the COVID-19 in Bangkok, Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan.
The COVID-19 virus has landed in Nigeria and Washington State. The 2nd death is reported in Washington with 5 additional cases, 1 in critical condition. New York has its 1st confirmed case. Two healthcare workers in California test positive.
England reported 2 new cases on Friday. In Eastern Europe, the 3 countries of Belarus, Estonia and Lithuania each reported their first case. Scotland and the Dominican Republic report their first cases, and Ecuador reports more.
The WHO warned, “This virus has pandemic potential.” New infections are reported across Europe. Italy, the epicenter of coronavirus in Europe with Northern Ireland and Wales experiencing their first cases on Friday. The number of cases in Germany had nearly doubled by Friday afternoon as France reported 20 new cases. Switzerland reported 9 new cases.
The number of people infected in South Korea shot up to 2,337 on Friday. New cases, thousands of miles apart, highlight how quickly the virus is making its way around the globe. The Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, Norway and Romania all reported their 1st infection, joining Italy, Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, North Macedonia, Spain, Sweden and Britain.
Companies are scaling back air travel. The French cosmetics giant L’Oréal has suspended all business travel for its 86,000 employees until the end of March. Nestlé, the Swiss-based food company, said it would suspend all international business trips for its 290,000 workers at least until mid-March.
“We have before us a crisis, an epidemic that is coming, we know that certain countries are already much more affected than us,” President Emmanuel Macron of France said during a visit to the Paris hospital where a coronavirus patient died this week.
Viruses cannot eat, secret, mobilize, or replicate; they have one mission – death. It has the capability to impregnate its RNA into a weak living cell that has not the strength to resist. The DNA of the host cell is changed to produce the virus instead of itself.
DO NO HARM is the Hippocratic oath no longer widely practiced. Glycoscience holds toxic free answers to questions that drugs cannot answer. Healthy cells have 800 thousand to 1 million active glycans and glycoproteins forming the protective shield.
Glycoscience holds the answer to the battles and the war. This can be accomplished through improved glycosylation of glycans and glycoproteins on the cell surface. Glycosylation is the secret weapon against our enemy, the virus.
